Dear colleagues,

we are very pleased to invite you to the 5th SIOPe BTG Interdisciplinary Education and Training Course in Pediatric Neurooncology (2nd year of the 2nd cycle) and the annual meeting of the SIOPe BTG. The SIOPe annual meeting will include trial and working group specific meetings, but also summaries of all activities as plenary session on day 2 as well as the general assembly. The course is aimed at all professionals involved in the treatment of children and adolescents with CNS malignancies, i.e. pediatric (neuro)oncologists, neurosurgeons, (neuro)radiologists, radiation oncologists and pediatric oncology nurses.

We are looking forward to welcome you all to our beautiful city of Berlin for another long-awaited meeting in person, which will feature an exciting Education and Training daytime program as well as an evening get-together and exchange in a relaxed atmosphere. After the limitations due to the pandemic, we have decided to hold the education course exclusively in attendance. Attendance to previous courses is no prerequisite.

The course will focus on the interdisciplinary management of the treatment of childhood brain tumors. Corresponding to our special fields of interest at the Charité Neurooncology centre, we will be particularly happy to deepen your knowledge in the area of low grade glioma, rare embryonal and sarcomatous tumors of the CNS, pediatric neurosurgery and state of the art molecular neuropathology. Beyond that, various excellent colleagues working at our center as well as dedicated experts from all over Europe will give you an insight into state of the art and future developments in pediatric neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and neuropathology. The course is going to take place at: Lecture hall 3, Forum 3, Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Augustenburger Platz 1, 13353 Berlin.
